Safely on the tip of Africa.

After 1.5 days of traveling, including a grueling 15-hour flight.....I made it safe and sound to Mossel Bay, South Africa on Saturday. Apparently, the best way to deal with jet lag is to completely ignore it and I have spent the last two days tracking a female, great white shark around the Bay on the 2am-9am shift, which results in a completely nocturnal schedule. I did get to spend a few hours yesterday (during daylight), helping with a dolphin survey and saw false killer whales, humpback dolphins and bottlenose dolphins along with some beautiful white-sand beaches and monster turquoise waves. However, with the lack of light during my great white interactions, I have yet to see more than a dorsal fin this morning at 7am. Off to bed to grab some more rest before my jet lag/nighttime tracking session kicks in.
